With the arrival of a strange foreigner, Arthur ayya’s slow and simple life in the village will never be the same again. This foreigner who arrives in Sri Lanka ends up in a terrible bind and Arthur and his family step in to help him, displaying our generous hospitality.
The story reveals all the twists and turns that these two individuals face along the way. The humor in this movie is evident when Arthur and his family desperately try to communicate with the foreigner despite the obvious language barrier and try to ‘localize’ him. Eventually the professor adapts to the life in the village.

The movie colorfully portrays the unique friendship that developes between these two and conveys to the audience of coexistence.

Appearing for the first time along with him is renowned actor Mahendra Perera and award winning actress Veena Jayakody. Dilukshi Weeraperuma and Naveen Saumya make their debut appearances in the Sinhala cinema too. Buffalo Travels also casts a Dutch actor in a main role for the first time in Sri Lankan cinema.
